2011  INCOME TAX PREPARATION

   Full service income tax and tax accounting services for individual and business clients.  I prepare Federal Income Taxes,  State Income Taxes,  in all states and on all forms !!

    After all of these years in this business, I can say I have learned one thing for sure !! If you think that your current tax professional is not getting you the best results, with his preparation of your income taxes, you are probably right !! And it's probably time to thing about switching.

    My fees are competitive and are based on the current industry rates !! (It's a competitive market)  Most of my clients feel that they have an edge because I have been a practicing financial planner for over 41 years, doing many things for them.  I think of preparing my client's income taxes as a logical conclusion of my financial planning activities. Each year, a number of new income tax clients become financial planning clients or investment advisory clients or vice versa.

    I don't have a boss, breathing down my neck.  I don't have quotas, and I don't rush my income tax customers through my office.  Anything worth doing, is worth doing well. This means that I often spend extra time with a new income tax customer developing case data; that otherwise might be overlooked in an assembly line type, income tax preparation service, where you wait and wait to rush, rush, rush !! More often than not, the extra time I spend with a new income tax preparation customer, is well worth spending to get to know their specific situation !! 

I have been at it for over 41 years and have been servicing many of my clients for 30 years or more. The alternative is tax preparation from some firms, with one years worth of experience 41 times !!  I think there is a difference.  It all depends on what you are looking for.

On the first interview with a new customer,  I asked him why he was having me prepare his tax returns, when it became very clear to me that he was more than well qualified, to do his own, as a CFO for the biggest local RE Management Company.  His reply "I know other people that come to you, and they recommend you highly, for all of your work, not just taxes. Plus, I did so much trading this year, I don't want to make a mistake reporting on my Schedule "D" !!"  Good job.     Local tax preparation hours are by appointment, You can come by almost any time during extended business hours 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday / Friday and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00p.m. to 6:00p.m., during tax season. Just give me a call. I can answer any questions that you have or schedule a tax preparation appointment for you. You can review your completed return online for approval before it is filed.

    If you are a USPS client, send your valuable papers (copies if you are smart) in a PRIORITY FLAT RATE envelope, I pick up the tab for postage, so you have no expense.  I get your returns in 2 days from anywhere in the continental US. If you are abroad, please use a comperable delivery service, with tracking and delivery confirmation. Even if you live accross town, you can use the mail or email. It's quick and convenient. You may FAX  your tax papers or scan and e-mail your information to me, your tax prep gets done in minutes, not days. Scanned tax documents are my favorite and are usually the best quality to work with. You never have to part with your documents and we both have electronic copies for our files. You get your return without delay in a PDF file, to peruse and approve for e-filing.

Download and print it. Be my guest, whether or not you use my services ! A good comprehensive organizer equalls, money in your pocket, so examine it carefully. Remember, set aside all of the pages that you think are not pertinent for you and keep them until you are done. 

   Again this year I will be a direct provider for the IRS e-file program. Most registered tax return preparers must e-file your returns this year. Last year, Federal refunds averaged 8 days and State refunds averaged 3 days. The current IRS newsletters are estimating that Federal refunds this year may run as quick as 5 days.      If the IRS has imposed time constraints on many taxpayers, again this year. There is no need to delay your return preparation, if you are affected. (disaster & flood areas)  If your return is waiting on my server, they will be automatically drained on the day that the IRS opens the gates.    A word to young taxpayers !!! Please Don't Be Stupid. Refund Anticipation Loans are  outrageously expensive. Fees for RALs (refund anticipation loans) are horrible, and are simply a gimmick. Many young people are taken advantage of, with this "get your money now at the office." It's the old instantaneous gratification appeal. It's junk !! You may as well go to your local loan shark, as to submit to such highway robbery.  Just file early and use direct deposit !! Your refunds can come as quick as 8 days. State refunds come in just days !! And you won't have to pay the vig. Another word to youngsters if you are dependent students, don't file your own return without discussing the aspects with your parents. I'll help you, if you want to call.

    I am a recommended provider by most State DORs where I practice, and by the IRS. Check their websites for more information.

    Many of my client's liked the IRS Fee Collect Service last year, so it will be available to all client's again this year.  It's simple, the IRS pays me your income tax preparation fee, at the same time that they process your refund. You get your refund without delay; and most importantly you don't have to worry about paying my bill. I like it because I get paid at the same time that you do, and you have no out of pocket cost. That's what I call  "painless tax preparation" !! (ya, I know the Dentist joke !!) We will also be offering, on a limited basis, pre-paid Wells Fargo Master Cards, at no charge. They are rechargable if want to use the card for a gift after you have drawn out your refund.
