2010  INCOME TAX PREPARATION

   Full service income and tax accounting services for individual and business clients.  I prepare Federal & State tax returns in all states and on all forms !!

    My fees are competitive and are based on the current rates charged by H&R Block !! (It's a competitive market)  Most of my clients feel that they have an edge when I prepare their tax returns.  I think of preparing my client's taxes as a logical conclusion of my financial planning practice. Each year, a number of new tax clients become financial planning and investment clients, one way or another. They like my indepencence !!

    I don't have a boss, breathing down my neck.  I don't have quotas, and I don't rush customers through my office.  Anything worth doing is worth doing well. This means that I often spend extra time with my customers developing case data; that otherwise might be overlooked in an assembly line, rush as fast as you can, tax practice !! More often than not, the extra time is well worth spending, getting to know a client !! 

I have 40 years of experience serving my clients, not 1yrs worth of experience 40  times !!  I think there is a difference.  I suppose it all depends on what you are looking for.

 My best salespeople are current customers !! Quality work and word of mouth are my best advertising   !!

On the first interview with a new customer,  I asked him why he was having me prepare his tax returns, when it became very clear to me that he was more than well qualified, to do his own, as a CFO for the biggest local RE Management Company.  His reply "I know other people that come to you, and they recommend you highly, for all of your work, not just taxes. Plus, I did so much trading this year, I don't want to make a mistake reporting on my Schedule "D" !!"  Good job. Bill !!  I'm happy not to have to try to become a tax expert in a couple of weeks, each year.  I feel really comfortable paying your fee to know that things are done right !!!  You can count on seeing me every year from now on !!

A new small business customer came to me after a bad experience with one of the other local tax preparers. He was skeptical at first, but now after 4 yrs., he puts one of my signs in his front yard each year to help me attract more local customers, and calls me " his long lost brother."     My local hours are by appointment, You can come by almost any time during extended business hours 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday / Friday, during tax season. Just give me a call. I can answer any questions that you have or schedule your appointment. You can review your completed return online for approval. I am open on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. However, your calls are welcome at any reasonable time.

    If you are USPS client, then send your valuable papers (copies if you are smart) in a PRIORITY FLAT RATE envelope, I pick up the tab. I get your returns in 2 days from anywhere in the continental US. If you are abroad, please use comperable postal service, with tracking and delivery confirmation. Even if you live accross town, you can use the mail. It's quick, convenient. If you can FAX or scan and E-mail your information to me, your tax prep gets done in minutes, not days. It's up to you.

   Again this year I will be a direct provider for the IRS e-file program. Last year, Federal refunds averaged 8 days and State refunds averaged 3 days. The current IRS newsletters are estimating that Federal refunds this year may run as quick as 5 days. (They were accurate last year !!) There is actually a chart.....<<<Click Here>>>...    

    A word to the wise !!! Please Don't Be Stupid. Refund Anticipation Loans are expensive. Fees for RALs are horrible, and are simply a gimmick. Many young people are taken advantage of with this "get your money now" concept. It's junk !! You may as well go to your local loan shark. Just file early and use direct deposit !! Your refunds on average, run pretty quick. State refunds come in just days !!

    Many of my client's liked the Fee Collect services last year, so it will be available to all client's again this year.  It's simple, the IRS pays me your tax preparation fee, right out of your refund. You get your refund just as quickly; and you don't have to worry about my bill. I like it because I get paid and you have no out of pocket cost. It's almost like novacaine at the dentist !!
